EnergyWar.net is an independent, unofficial open-source-intelligence (OSINT) aggregation of publicly reported incidents affecting energy infrastructure. It is built and maintained by one person, using publicly available reporting, and is provided for informational and research purposes only. Read this page before relying on anything you see here.

01

Not verified intelligence

Nothing on this site is original reporting, and nothing here has been independently verified through non-public means. Every record links to the named publisher or primary document it was drawn from, and carries an evidence-confidence label (documented, reported, unconfirmed or investigating) reflecting how solid that public reporting is — not an assurance that the underlying event happened exactly as described, or at all. Attribution to a specific actor reflects what a cited source reported or claimed, not an independent determination by this site of who was responsible. See About & methodology for how records are assembled and what the confidence labels mean.

02

Not for operational, safety or targeting decisions

This site must not be used as a basis for operational, navigational, safety-critical or targeting decisions of any kind — civilian or military. Marker positions are frequently approximate, sourced from public reporting rather than surveyed coordinates, and are explicitly labelled as such where that’s known to be the case. If you need authoritative, real-time maritime or aviation safety information, use official channels such as UKMTO, NOTAMs or your relevant national authority — several of which this site links to for convenience, but does not substitute for.

03

Accuracy, errors and corrections

Despite good-faith effort to source and cross-check every record, errors, outdated information and disputed claims are inevitable in fast-moving, conflict-sensitive reporting — including reporting that later turns out to be incomplete, exaggerated or wrong at the source. If you believe a record is inaccurate, missing important context, or should be removed, use the anonymous tip form on the About & methodology page.

04

Links to news publishers, official agencies, archive services and other outside sites are provided for reference and verification. Linking to a source is not an endorsement of that publisher, its ownership, its other coverage, or of any advertising or content displayed alongside it, and this site has no control over and takes no responsibility for third-party content.

05

Provided as-is

This site is provided free of charge, as-is and as-available, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including as to accuracy, completeness, availability or fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, no liability is accepted for actions taken, or losses incurred, in reliance on information published here. If you need something you can rely on with certainty, verify it independently through the linked primary sources or official channels.
