Pars Special Economic Energy Zone — petrochemical utilities strike
6 April 2026
Asaluyeh, Bushehr Province, Iran
What happened
Israeli strikes hit utility and ancillary infrastructure in the Pars Special Economic Energy Zone at Asaluyeh. Iran's National Petrochemical Company confirmed the attack, said the resulting fire was fully controlled and began assessing damage; a provincial official said several petrochemical production units were damaged and reported no casualties. Israeli officials described the target as Iran's largest petrochemical complex and claimed it represented about half of national petrochemical production, but Iranian accounts said the strikes principally hit supporting electricity, water and other utility facilities. Because the competing claims do not establish a verified complex-wide outage, no shutdown percentage is assigned.
