Bapco Al-Ma'ameer refinery — attack, shutdown and force majeure

What happened

A further Iranian attack set the Al-Ma'ameer refinery complex ablaze and caused material damage. No casualties were reported. Bapco Energies said the conflict and attack affected group operations, shut the refinery and prompted force majeure on oil shipments, while domestic demand could still be met. This is separate from the contained 5 March unit fire after which operations initially continued.
