What happened

Ukrainian authorities said a Russian drone struck a Marshall Islands-flagged commercial vessel carrying rapeseed oil in the Black Sea. Odesa regional governor Oleh Kiper reported that the impact caused a fire in the superstructure. Ukraine's Shipping Administration said the vessel's steward was killed and seven people were injured. The available official and news reports did not identify the vessel by name or IMO number and did not publish its precise position, voyage, cargo quantity, crew nationalities, damage status or any pollution assessment. The record therefore retains an approximate offshore marker rather than presenting it as the impact coordinate.
