What happened

About 15 masked, armed assailants entered a biomass power-plant site at Ban Sala Uma in Waeng district, restrained a security guard, set a backhoe, truck and tractor on fire, and planted explosives at three locations. Three explosions were reported. Thai security sources suspected a separatist-linked group, but responsibility was not independently established.
