Baltoji Vokė LPG terminal railcar fire

10 September 2025

Vilnius outskirts, Lithuania

What happened

Several railcars carrying liquefied petroleum gas from Orlen Lietuva's refinery to the Baltoji Vokė LPG terminal caught fire and exploded. One person was injured, smoke was visible across Vilnius, and nearby residents were told to remain indoors. Initial information pointed to an occupational-safety breach, and Orlen said there was no initial suspicion of intentional action.
