What happened
Two natural-gas-fueled explosions and fires struck neighboring homes on Preston Hollow Drive. Five residents were seriously injured; a responding CPS Energy employee was also treated and released. Testing located a leak in an underground service line between the two properties, which CPS Energy isolated early the next morning. The NTSB investigation remains open, so the probable cause is not yet stated.
