What happened

A large fire broke out at an approximately 200-square-metre waste-oil storage yard in Lo hamlet, Loc Ha village, Dong Anh commune, producing heavy smoke and reported explosions. Hanoi police dispatched nearly 90 firefighters from eight regional fire-and-rescue teams, supported by a command vehicle, 10 fire engines, a tanker, two trucks, a pump carrier and two firefighting robots. Crews contained the fire and prevented it from spreading to nearby structures. No casualties were reported, and the cause remained under investigation.
