What happened

Fire and several explosions occurred at Sunflare Industrial Supply Corporation's used-oil-to-diesel facility in the Powerplant Industrial Park after electricity returned following a local brownout. Eight fire engines reportedly responded, and the fire was declared out at about 00:10 on 27 November. No casualties were reported because the plant was not operating at night. Police and municipal officials opened a joint investigation; an anonymous source alleged that an overheated conversion oven caused the initial explosion, but that claim was not adopted as a finding. The incident occurred on 26 November 2019—not 25 November or circa 2018 as suggested by relative-age search metadata.
