What happened

The Estlink 2 electricity interconnector and telecommunications cables were damaged in the Gulf of Finland. Finland's National Bureau of Investigation said evidence from the Eagle S tanker, seabed examinations and crew interviews gave investigators a clear account of events; the ship's recovered anchor was linked to the damage and three officers were referred for prosecution.
