What happened
Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Saree said the total number of Saudi oil tankers targeted since the group's maritime blockade of Saudi Arabia began on 22 July had reached eight, and that a separate total of 29 Saudi oil tankers had been prevented from proceeding and forced to turn back in the Red and Arabian Seas. The blockade itself was declared on 20 July. This tally is not independently verified and does not identify the vessels involved beyond those separately confirmed on this site (Encelia, Layla, NCC Ghazal and Wafaa).
