Oil or fuel facility
Irish refinery and fuel-depot blockade (aggregate)
7–11 April 2026
Ireland
What happened
This aggregate record covers coordinated fuel-price protests in which truckers, farmers, taxi and bus operators blockaded Ireland's only oil refinery, fuel depots, port approaches and major roads. Numerous petrol stations ran dry, police removed and arrested protesters, and a convoy of seven fuel tankers required a police escort to load at the refinery. The marker is placed at a national reference point and does not represent every affected station.
