Aramco site, Jizan — drone and missile attack

15 April 2021

Jizan, Saudi Arabia

What happened

Yemen's Houthis said they used 11 drones and missiles to attack Aramco oil installations and a Patriot missile battery in Jizan, southern Saudi Arabia; an Aramco site caught fire. The Saudi-led coalition said debris from intercepted drones and ballistic missiles landed on Jazan University grounds and started a limited fire, without confirming direct impact on Aramco infrastructure. This is a separate, earlier incident from later Jizan strikes in March 2022 and July 2026.
