What happened

An unnamed source working in Saudi Arabia's energy sector told AFP that the East–West Pipeline was attacked again on 4 October and that a pumping station near Khurais, east of Riyadh, suffered major damage, halting pipeline flows. The source said the station had not been targeted in the earlier September attack. Saudi Arabia's Energy Ministry and Saudi Aramco had not publicly confirmed the new incident, identified a weapon or attacker, quantified damage or announced a restart timetable in the reviewed reporting. This record therefore treats the renewed attack and shutdown as a credible attributed report, not an official Saudi damage assessment. The marker is an approximate Khurais-area reference and not a published pumping-station coordinate.
