What happened
The Syrian Petroleum Company reported damage to an oil pipeline near kilometre 50 before Tal Hamis on 7 October, attributing it to sabotage. Crews isolated the damaged section. SANA’s 8 October follow-up relays the company’s announcement that repairs were complete and the line had been restored to readiness. It also reports pressure reduction and recovery of leaked oil using tankers. Readiness is not independent confirmation of resumed pumping or sustained throughput. No spill volume, casualty count, quantified supply loss or independently established perpetrator is available. The town marker does not locate kilometre 50 or the rupture. This fills a historical coverage gap and is not a new attack on the review date. It is distinct from the Al-Jabsa gas-line explosion on 15 October. Updated on 25 October 2026, 16:48 UTC+0.
