What happened

MSCIO Alert 94/26 reported that at least eight pirates seized an unnamed merchant vessel 4.5 nautical miles south of Maraya in Somalia's Eyl District. The crew were reported safe when the alert was issued, and Operation ATALANTA was investigating and monitoring the incident.
