What happened
The Kyiv Independent, citing Exilenova Plus, reports a fire and alleged Ukrainian drone strike at the Omsky Kauchuk petrochemical plant on 24 October. The report describes production of synthetic rubber, organic synthesis products and gasoline additive MTBE; the claimed rocket-fuel supply role is attributed to the monitoring channel. Governor Vitaliy Khotsenko acknowledged a drone attack on a logistics hub in Omsk, not specifically the petrochemical plant. His statement therefore does not independently confirm the plant identification. No operator-confirmed damage, production halt, casualties, released chemicals or flight route is established here. The separately reported Ozon warehouse is not merged into this plant record. The coordinate references Omsk city, not a verified impact point. Fire Point’s own Telegram statement also names Omsky Kauchuk and Ozon as targets and claims its FP-1 drones covered more than 2,500 km from the border. This is a manufacturer claim, not independent verification of the flight path, successful impacts or damage. It adds a named source beyond the initial monitoring reports.
