What happened

A Ukrainian drone attack forced the first reported suspension of oil loading at Primorsk, Russia's largest western oil-export port. Industry sources told Reuters that two Aframax tankers, Kusto and Cai Yun, were hit and caught fire; Leningrad Oblast Governor Alexander Drozdenko confirmed a fire on one vessel and at a pumping station. He said the fires were extinguished and no oil spill was detected. Two industry sources said the terminal partially resumed operations the following day but at reduced capacity because of damage. Primorsk can load roughly one million barrels per day of crude and also handles about 300,000 barrels per day of diesel. The reviewed reporting did not quantify the damaged throughput, repair cost or duration of reduced operations.
