What happened

QatarEnergy announced that it ceased production of LNG and associated products after military attacks on operating facilities in Ras Laffan Industrial City and Mesaieed Industrial City. This marker records the Ras Laffan component of the shutdown. The initial announcement did not quantify physical damage or casualties. QatarEnergy later declared force majeure, and Ras Laffan was struck again on 18 March, causing separately recorded extensive damage.
