What happened

The Liberian-flagged chemical/products tanker Stolt Magnesium was struck on the starboard side of its engine room by an unknown projectile, causing an engine-room fire. The crew were safe and accounted for and no environmental impact was reported. Stolt Tankers described the cause as an unidentified external device; available official reporting did not attribute responsibility.
