Unidentified vessel — seized at anchor and taken toward Iranian waters

What happened

The company security officer reported that an unidentified vessel was taken by unauthorised personnel while at anchor approximately 38 nautical miles northeast of Fujairah and was proceeding toward Iranian territorial waters. UKMTO continued to investigate and did not identify the boarding party, report casualties or damage, or attribute responsibility. A later JMIC incident table described the vessel type as fishery research and continued to withhold its name. The identifier #28082035 appears in some web listings for this record, but the official UKMTO warning number is 057-26 and the agency classified it as Suspicious Activity rather than Attack. The marker position is approximate, calculated from the reported distance and direction from Fujairah.
