27 February 2022

What happened
A Russian missile struck the KLO oil terminal near Vasylkiv, southwest of Kyiv, during fighting around the nearby airbase. One of the terminal's ten reportedly almost-full tanks was hit and a major fire followed. The terminal was described as destroyed in contemporary industry reporting; public reports did not provide a reliable total fuel-loss figure or identify casualties at the depot.
