UK Maritime Trade Operations warning 115-26 said an unidentified vessel transiting outbound near Khasab, Oman was struck by an unknown projectile, damaging the engine room and resulting in a crew casualty; the remaining crew were being assisted by the Omani Coast Guard, and no environmental impact was reported. UKMTO's own wording did not specify whether the casualty was a fatality or an injury, and secondary reporting diverged: Al Jazeera and several wire-sourced outlets described a crew member killed, while Ship & Bunker's reporting characterized it as a crew member injured. This record treats the casualty's severity as unresolved rather than asserting either account. The vessel's name, flag, type, cargo and the projectile's source were not published.
