A Ukrainian drone attack caused a fire at the Afipsky oil refinery overnight, Krasnodar governor Veniamin Kondratyev said. Falling drone debris also struck the nearby Afipskaya railway station, where two people were killed and two injured, suspended station operations, and damaged at least ten homes; those casualties were reported at the railway station rather than inside the refinery. Reuters described Afipsky as an export-oriented refinery that processed about 7.2 million tonnes, or 144,000 barrels per day, in 2024 and has been targeted repeatedly. No affected refinery unit, production halt or quantified throughput loss had been confirmed in the initial reports. The fire is marked active to reflect the latest source state at entry time and should be updated when authorities publish a final status.
