Ukrainian drones struck the Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat oil-refining and petrochemical complex overnight, roughly 1,300-1,500km from the border, in what wire reporting described as the fourth Russian refinery struck in three days. Militarnyi's OSINT review, citing Ukrainian Liutyi drone use, identified the AVT-6 and AVT-4 primary distillation units, technical overpasses and pipelines, and a Shop No. 20 polyethylene-pellet production building as struck, with a fire breaking out in the industrial zone. Bashkortostan governor Radiy Khabirov said 16 drones were shot down over Salavat and five more over the neighbouring Chishminsky district, where falling debris also sparked a fire at an unrelated Wildberries logistics-hub construction site; he reported two people injured and hospitalised from the wave. The Moscow Times reported the refinery had already halted operations after the 13-14 July 2026 strike on the same complex (recorded separately above) and cited Khabirov acknowledging drone debris fell in the industrial zone rather than confirming specific unit damage. The facility accounts for an estimated 2.7% of Russia's total refining throughput. Neither outlet published an independent damage assessment or a production-halt confirmation specific to this second strike.
