What happened

UKMTO’s verified update reports a small boat approaching the tanker’s port side and attaching two explosive devices above the waterline. Their detonation caused an engine-room fire and temporarily disabled the vessel. The fire was extinguished and the tanker continued to its next port. Crew were safe and no environmental impact was reported. The attacker, vessel identity and cargo remain undisclosed. No actual-vessel photograph can be reliably matched. This is distinct from Warning 186’s earlier projectile strike.

When cited sources give different casualty, damage or spill figures for this event, they’re reported side by side above rather than merged into one number. See how confidence levels work.
