What happened

Russian forces launched a second consecutive attack on the Naftogaz-operated Kherson combined heat-and-power plant overnight, striking the premises with four guided aerial bombs. Naftogaz said the attack caused critical damage and destroyed all heat- and power-generating equipment that remained after the previous day's strike, leaving the plant completely inoperable. Staff were in shelters and no employee casualties were reported. Naftogaz described the plant as an exclusively civilian facility that supplies heat to tens of thousands of Kherson residents.
