What happened

Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree claimed that the group used ballistic missiles and drones against Saudi Aramco facilities in the Khurais area and caused a large fire. He announced the claim on 4 October but did not provide an incident time, imagery, coordinates or other evidence. Associated Press and Anadolu Agency reported the statement while noting the absence of Saudi or Aramco confirmation. No reliable satellite assessment, operator notice, casualty report, physical-damage description or production-loss figure had been published in the reviewed material. This record therefore preserves a material claim concerning a major oil-producing area without treating an attack or impact as established. The marker identifies the general Khurais field area rather than a claimed impact point.
