Dibella site, Agadem oil zone — pipeline attack
6 December 2025
Dibella, Diffa Region, Niger
What happened
MPLJ, an anti-junta rebel movement led by Moussa Kounaï, claimed an attack on the Niger–Benin (Agadem–Sèmè) crude export pipeline at the Dibella site in the Agadem oil zone, part of a stated campaign to cut the military junta's oil revenue. This was the first of two MPLJ pipeline attacks claimed in the same month (the second, on 21 December, struck near Jaouro). Details of casualties, damage extent and any production interruption were not independently confirmed; the precise location is approximate.
When cited sources give different casualty, damage or spill figures for this event, they’re reported side by side above rather than merged into one number. See how confidence levels work.
