What happened

Petroleum Facilities Guard militia forces stormed the Ras Lanuf and neighboring Es Sider oil terminals, setting a 200,000-barrel storage tank ablaze; fighting caused 'catastrophic damage' to two of the terminal's five tanks, cutting crude storage capacity from 950,000 to 550,000 barrels, and tanks at the nearby Fida Oil Farm also caught fire. Libya's National Oil Corporation evacuated staff, declared force majeure, and halved the country's daily export volume. This was conflict-related damage to energy infrastructure.
