What happened

Israel's Ministry of Energy instructed Chevron to stop production from the Tamar offshore gas field after the 7 October attacks and the outbreak of war. The platform was not reported struck or damaged. Gas exports to Egypt through the EMG subsea pipeline were halted and supplies were rerouted through Jordan's Arab Gas Pipeline while Israel used alternative domestic fuel sources. The ministry authorized a restart on 9 November, and Chevron said it had resumed supplying customers from Tamar by 13 November.
