Ukraine's General Staff confirmed its forces struck the Novatek gas-condensate processing complex at Ust-Luga on Russia's Baltic coast overnight into 14 August, in an assault Kyiv Post reported involved 54 drones over roughly four hours, ending around 6:48 a.m. Moscow time; Leningrad Oblast Governor Alexander Drozdenko said Russian air defences intercepted a large share of the drones but that damage was recorded and a fire broke out at the port, without specifying which installation was struck or the scale of damage. The governor reported no casualties. Ust-Luga is Russia's largest Baltic export terminal after Primorsk, handling crude oil, fuel oil, jet fuel and gasoil, and this is at least the sixth Ukrainian drone strike on the complex in 2026, following confirmed attacks in late March and a 9–10 July strike already recorded here.
