What happened

Ukraine's HUR and Special Operations Forces said a coordinated operation derailed a locomotive on the Stroganovo–Mshinskaya section of the Saint Petersburg–Pskov railway around 02:30 local time on 14 September 2025, and that the resulting fire destroyed 15 fuel tankers. Ukrainian officials described the line as a critical logistics link for occupying forces. No casualties were reported. This is a Ukrainian military-intelligence claim; independent confirmation of the tanker count has not been established.
