Volgograd refinery

January 2025–31 July 2026

Russia

What happened

The Lukoil refinery has been struck repeatedly. Ukraine's General Staff said the 29 May 2026 attack damaged four primary oil-processing units and secondary systems and halted production. During another drone wave overnight into 31 July, Volgograd's governor confirmed fires at a fuel-and-energy enterprise in the city's south and said five people were hospitalized; OSINT analysis and local monitoring identified the site as the refinery, but Russian officials did not name it. The July fire is therefore reported rather than treated as independently confirmed refinery damage.
