What happened

Saudi-backed coalition forces said they intercepted six Houthi ballistic missiles fired toward Yanbu and Taif on 24 September. Saudi authorities also issued warnings for Mecca, Jeddah and Tabuk before announcing that the danger had passed, without saying whether projectiles had required interception over those cities. The report did not allocate the six missiles between Yanbu and Taif, establish that a specific Yanbu refinery, terminal or pipeline installation was targeted, or identify any impact, casualty or operational interruption. The marker is anchored at Yanbu because of its energy significance, but it represents one reported multi-city attack wave and must not be read as six impacts at the oil hub.
