What happened

Serbian security forces found a large quantity of explosives, detonators and preparation tools near villages in Kanjiža municipality, immediately adjacent to the gas infrastructure connecting Serbia and Hungary. The Higher Public Prosecutor's Office classified the case as attempted sabotage alongside explosives offences. The packages were recovered before detonation; no pipeline damage, injuries or gas-supply interruption were reported. The marker is approximate.
