What happened

Ukrainian forces struck three separate targets in Belgorod overnight using HIMARS-launched GMLRS rockets: a gas pipeline linear production department belonging to the Gazprom Transgaz Moscow branch, a thermal power plant, and fuel tanks at Belgorod International Airport, sparking fires at all three sites. Serhii Sternenko, an adviser to Ukraine's Defense Minister, said the gas-pipeline department and the airport area were burning after the strike; residents reported seeing gas burning at several locations. The acting Belgorod governor confirmed the strike and resulting energy-infrastructure damage, which disrupted electricity supply in parts of the city and surrounding municipalities and disrupted water and gas supply in some areas. No casualties were reported.
