Russian and Ukrainian officials acknowledged a drone incident at an energy-processing facility in the Novy Urengoy/Noyabrsk area of Russia's Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug. Governor Dmitry Artyukhov said an attack on an industrial facility was repelled and that falling drone debris caused a fire, with no casualties; the extent and nature of the damage were still being assessed. Ukraine's General Staff claimed it struck the Novourengoysky Condensate Stabilization Plant, also described as the Novy Urengoy Gas Condensate Processing Plant, and said the facility processes stabilized gas condensate, petroleum fractions, diesel and other products, with annual capacity of approximately 19.5 million tonnes. Videos showed distant flames and smoke but did not establish the specific equipment damaged. TWZ described the operation as the deepest publicly reported Ukrainian drone strike into Russia, roughly 1,700 miles from the Ukrainian border, while a Ukrainian manufacturer hinted at a longer flight distance; the launch point and drone type have not been independently established.
