What happened

AFP reports that Houthi spokesman Yahya Saree claimed the group targeted Saudi Arabia’s East–West crude pipeline and pumping stations during the preceding 24 hours, as part of a wider target list. This establishes a new dated targeting claim, not verified impacts. No pumping station, impact coordinate, damage, casualty, spill or interruption to pipeline flows is established in the reviewed reporting. Separately, the Saudi-led coalition says it intercepted two ballistic missiles directed toward Taif and Yanbu on 24 October; that statement does not identify pipeline targets or resolve the wider Houthi claim. The marker is an approximate corridor reference and does not locate a strike or imply the whole pipeline was attacked. This record is separate from earlier September and October pipeline incidents; no lost barrels per day or shutdown percentage is inferred. Reuters’ 24 October account independently relays the targeting statement and coalition interceptions, while saying successful impacts were unclear. Debris in Rabigh is not proof of refinery damage. Updated on 25 October 2026, 02:50 UTC+0.
