What happened

A small fire broke out in a furnace at the Green Power 2 cogeneration station serving Marathon Petroleum's 631,000 bbl/d Galveston Bay refinery. Refinery firefighters extinguished it and no injuries were reported. Marathon did not identify the unit publicly, and available reporting did not establish any effect on refinery production.
