What happened

Yemen's government-aligned armed forces said naval and coastal-defence units intercepted four explosive-laden Houthi boats attempting to approach the government-held Hanish and Zuqar islands. The forces reported several engagements and heavy Houthi boat activity around the islands, which overlook international shipping routes. The Houthis had not commented in the reviewed reporting, and no independent source confirmed the boats' intended targets. No commercial vessel, tanker, port or energy facility was reported struck, and no casualties or pollution were reported.
