Iran's IRGC Navy said it retaliated for U.S. strikes on three Iranian crude carriers by targeting three oil tankers allegedly travelling along an 'unauthorized route' through the Strait of Hormuz and three additional vessels it described as U.S.-linked elsewhere in the region. The statement did not name the vessels, provide coordinates, identify weapon types or publish evidence of impacts, casualties, damage, pollution or loss of propulsion. UKMTO Advisory 127-26 separately reported, citing military authorities, that several merchant vessels had been subjected to disabling fire in the northern Arabian Gulf and Gulf of Oman. The advisory did not publicly identify the attacker or vessels, and the available wording is insufficient to prove that it describes all or any of the six vessels in Iran's claim. This is therefore one unverified regional claim, not six confirmed vessel incidents; the marker is illustrative and not a strike coordinate.
