What happened

Videos and local eyewitness reporting showed a large fire and smoke near Vysokonskie Dvory in Kursk Oblast after a major regional drone wave. Ukrainian monitoring channel Exilenova+ identified the reported target as the Kursk linear production department of Gazprom Transgaz Moscow, part of Russia's trunk gas-transmission system. Other reporting placed the visible fire at the neighbouring 330 kV Kursk electrical substation, which supplies the gas-transmission complex, the Druzhba oil pipeline, the Urengoy–Pomary–Uzhhorod gas pipeline and the Mikhailovsky mining complex. The two facilities are only several hundred metres apart, and the available video did not show a sign, equipment or another feature that conclusively establishes which site was burning. Kursk regional authorities confirmed a broad drone attack and said 149 drones were intercepted over the reporting window, but did not acknowledge damage to either energy facility. No reliable assessment of damage, casualties, gas flows, pipeline operations or electricity supply was available, so this record preserves the reported gas-infrastructure attack while marking the affected asset and outcome unconfirmed.
