What happened

Repeated Russian strikes on 25–26 September damaged facilities operated by Datagroup and Cosmonova in Kyiv. Datagroup said its employees were uninjured, customer data remained intact and services continued from backups. Cosmonova said its facility was struck twice within a day and that the second attack took its main core and data centre out of operation, prompting restoration from geographically remote backup sites. The disruption affected several television broadcasters, website video services and internet customers. The Guardian reported four deaths in the strike that hit Datagroup's offices, but the reviewed sources did not identify the victims as company employees. This aggregate city marker represents the two named providers and follows the separately recorded 23 September Kyiv communications and fuel-station attack; it is not a precise impact coordinate.
