Russia launched repeated drone waves against Kyiv through 23 September 2026 — Kyiv Independent counted eight air-raid alerts since midnight — hitting targets across the Holosiivskyi, Darnytskyi and Solomianskyi districts. An Ukrnafta gas station and a four-storey business centre were hit in Holosiivskyi; a UPG-operated station on Kharkivske Highway was destroyed and transport infrastructure damaged in Darnytskyi; a warehouse and transport-company site burned in Solomianskyi, where a fire also broke out at the historic Shayba railway market near Kyiv Central Station (Ukrzaliznytsia said the station itself was undamaged and one rail worker was injured).
