What happened

A fire broke out in the AVU-1 atmospheric and vacuum distillation unit during startup. IndianOil said responders controlled it by 20:20. One contract worker died, another contract worker and a refinery fire-and-safety employee were injured, and a high-level committee was appointed to determine the cause. Major refinery operations continued normally.
