What happened

A fire broke out around fuel-gas piping serving turbomachinery on the Akal-B1 platform in Pemex’s Akal-B processing center. The emergency plan was activated and the fire was controlled sixteen minutes later. Pemex initially reported nine workers with non-serious injuries. The offshore marker is approximate.
