What happened

A fire broke out around 3:30pm in a gasoline distillation unit at ExxonMobil's Port-Jérôme-Gravenchon refinery in Normandy, damaging one of the plant's two distillation towers. The internal firefighting team contained the blaze without external assistance. Five people received medical treatment, with one remaining under observation; the affected tower was shut while damage was assessed.
