What happened
Maritime-security reporting said an unidentified projectile landed inside Saudi Arabia's Yanbu port and caused a fire, prompting a temporary suspension of loading involving an unidentified Liberian-flagged tanker. Bystander video showed an isolated fire near a tank-farm area, while security consultancies Clearwater Dynamics and Vanguard Tech reported that the impact was inside the port. Loading later resumed. Neither Saudi authorities nor Aramco publicly identified the damaged object, projectile type, origin or attacker in the reviewed reporting, and no casualty, pollution or quantified damage report was found. The marker represents the wider Yanbu terminal area and is not a verified impact coordinate.
When cited sources give different casualty, damage or spill figures for this event, they’re reported side by side above rather than merged into one number. See how confidence levels work.
