What happened

Russia's Defence Ministry said its forces struck port infrastructure, two dry-cargo vessels and a tugboat at Chornomorsk, claiming the facilities and ships handled military supplies. Independent maritime reporting recorded a Russian missile attack on the port and UAV targeting of two dry-cargo ships, but the reviewed sources did not publish vessel names, manifests, damage assessments, casualties or evidence supporting the military-cargo claim. This record is separate from the earlier attack on the tug TEDY near Odesa, which involved fatalities and occurred before this reported port strike. No shutdown of Chornomorsk or interruption to grain or energy exports was established.
